Busy, busy year (only English)

I have been so busy that I haven't posted anything for a long time. Well to start off, the preschool is growing larger each and everyday through God's grace. God has been good to the preschool, and He is working in it. The number of the students are increasing, and the many people throughout the week come and check out the school for trial. God is good.

Not only that, but the new semester at CCBC started yesterday with orientation! (classes officially started today!) But before that, last week, here at the new Bible college building, we had the building dedication. Pastor Tommy came to Tokyo with Sam, and did a lot to prepare for the dedication. Many people came to the dedication, as well as many pastors from different Calvary's in main land Japan.

This semester, I will be teaching the gospel of John in Japanese and Zach will be teaching 1&2 Corinthians, as well as Romans as a block class. It will be a challenging semester for me and Zach, but maybe mostly me. Cause I will still be working at the preschool full-time, and during my off time, I will be needing to prepare and study for my class. I don't know how I will manage my time, but it's all in God's hand.

These days, I have been kept on reminding of how God created the world in six days and rested on the seventh day. God separated the light and darkness in day one, and saw that it was good. And on the second day he separated the water of earth and heaven, and saw that it was good. God could have made everything in one day, but He chose not to. But from that portion, God reminded me that if I'm obedient in what God has for me to do in that day, and if I do it, He sees that as good. If God told me to clean the bathroom and I do it, He sees that as good. Be obedient in the task of what God has given to you, and when we obey it, He sees it as good.

So be encouraged and don't stress out. We each have the same 24hrs., just be obedient, be in God's word every single day, and He will show you what you need to do.

I, myself, has been a little stress out with overload of work, and other stuff. But the overload of work and other stuff is just a baggage that we carry. We need to give it to God. I know that I personally need to give to God. It's uncomfortable carrying those and trying to live that day. But when you ask God, He will take it away from you. He is faithful to do that, I know that from experience.

January Birthday blessing!

Zach, Logan, and Aki's birthday was on January. To celebrate it the church family went out to eat dinner at Ken. It is Pastor Rich's favorite place to go, because it have a salad bar and if you pay 200 yen more you can get ice cream bar! The food is good, and the place seems to be always packed. But nevertheless, it was a great time of fellowship and being able to celebrate it with the guys!!!

ザック、ローガンとあきの誕生日は一月！それで教会のみんなで「けん」に行き夕飯を食べました。そこはリッチ牧師のお勧めの場所です。なぜならサラダバーがあり、200円プラスでアイスバーもつけられるからです～！料理も美味しかったし、いつも満席！！でも、良い交わりの時間と誕生日を一緒に祝うことができ楽しかったです！

Family Karaoke

On Saturday, WeGoEigo Preschool invited the families for a time of fellowship at karaoke. It was a blessed time just to be able to spend time with the kids outside of school, and to get to know the mom's too. The kids sang some songs, and I sang with them. The teachers and the mom's also sang some songs. It was fun, because I like karaoka, haha. The kids also hula to the dance that Candice teaches at the school too. It was a blast!!!

土曜日にWeGoEigo保育園の家族と一緒にカラオケに行きました。学校外で子供たちと時間を過ごせたこととお母さんたち供過ごせる時間はとても祝福な時でした。子供たちは歌を歌い、一緒に歌を歌って、先生もお母さんたちも歌を歌いました。俺はカラオケが好きだからとても楽しめました！（笑）保育園でキャンディスがフラダンスを教えていて、カラオケでも踊ってくれました。でーじ楽しかった。

Trip to Tonaki

Monday thur Thursday, me, Josh, Yoshua, Kazuki, and Sam went to Tonaki Island. It is a small island that takes about two hour boat ride from Naha. We went to Tonaki to encourage the only Christian on the island, Izuru, and also to have a relaxed time. But the trip was only planned until Wednesday, but the waves got choppy so the boat got cancelled. The weather was not too bad, so an extra day was kinda good for me. I had an opportunity to share God's word with Izuru and also Josh and Sam did a little devotion for us too. Kazuki brought his guitar, so we were playing on and off with it. It was a great time just to be able to relax and also to spend time with the guys.

月曜日から木曜日、俺、ジョッシュ、ヨシュア、かずき、とサムは渡名喜島に行ってきました。那覇から大体二時間の船乗りで行ける小さな島です。渡名喜島に行った理由とは、その島に住んでいるひとりのクリスチャンの方、いずるさんの励ましのためです。また、ゆっくりとした時間を持つためにも行きました。最初は水曜日までいるつもりだったけど、波が激しくなったため、船がでなくなり、プラス一日を過ごしたのです。でも天気もそんなに悪くはなかったので、自分的には「なんくるないさ～」みたいな（笑）。神の御言葉を語る機会も与えられ、またサムとジョッシュもデボーションをしてくれました。かずきもギターを持ってきてくれて、賛美もしました。とても楽しい時間を過ごせて、またみんなと交わりできてよかったです！

New years eve game night

On new years eve at the church we held our annual game night. We started at eight at night till midnight, for the countdown. I played some scrabble, sorry Candice, and chess, and UNO. It was a fun night.

Trip to Nago

Yesterday, me and Josh went up to Nago to spend the night at the Diaz's house. We got to Nago pretty fast and we had a great time of fellowship with Amanda and Eder. Later that night we also went to the Newell's house and got to see Tim, Ayu, Masaki, and Tomoki. Than afterwards we went to karaoke! Thank you so much, Eder and Amanda for letting us stay at your place! May God continue to bless the both of you and the ministry that you guys are doing there!

昨日と今日はジョッシュと一緒に名護に行きました。エダーとアマンダ家に行き、彼らと交わりの時を持ちました。ゲームとかして楽しかった！ティムの家にも挨拶しに行ってきました

Okinawa Day 7

Today I messed around with my new iPod touch. It's an all new experience for me haha. But me and Josh took Teliya to the airport. But we stopped by for lunch at the Korean restaurant. We ate some good food and tool off to the airport. Tonight we have Wednesday night bible study so it will be an exciting night, as I get to hear from God's word and fellow shipping with Christian families!

今日は新しいiPod touchで遊びました。ととても新しい経験で、ちょいややこしい（−＿−；）昼にはテリヤをジュッシュと一緒に空港まで連れて行きました。昼ごはんは韓国料理を食べました。今晩は水曜日の聖書の学び会があります。神様の御言葉から学び、クリスチャンの家族との交わりが楽しみです。

Okinawa Day 6

To start off the day I did my laundry due to running out of clothes. But for lunch, me and Josh went to my old work place, Pizza Party, for pizza! It was great seeing my boss there still working. Nothing has changed there, and it kinda felt like it's home in a way. After lunch, we picked up Sam and Yoshua from the cafe, and we went to Jusco for just fellowship time. Josh bought a late Christmas present for the guys and the gals. He is such a nice guy haha. He really is a big blessing for me. It's not because he buys me stuff and waste money on me, but I guess you can put in to say that he is a considerate friend. Before I came back to Oki, my ipod broke. So as a Christmas present and a late birthday present, he got me an itouch! I don't have an iphone, but for me, it's the same thing haha

今日は洋服がなくなってきたから、コインランドリーで洗濯しに行きました。昼はジョッシュと一緒に自分の仕事場、ピザパーティー、でピザを食べに行きました。何も変わってなかったので、なんか帰ってきた～って言う気分でした。昼後、カフェでサムとヨシュアを向かえて、男性のみのJUSCO交わりをしました。ジョッシュはそこでみんなの遅いクリスマスプレゼントを買ってくれました。とても良い奴です（笑）。ジョッシュは俺にとってはとてもすばらしい祝福です。彼がいろんなもの買ったり、俺の為にお金を使うってわけではなく、いわゆる人思いな人です。沖縄に帰ってくる前に俺のipodが壊れてしまいました。そのためクリスマスプレゼントと遅い誕生日プレゼントとして、itouchをもらってしまいました！iphoneじゃないけど、俺にとっては同じです（笑）

Okinawa Day 5

Today I had a late morning, but a relaxing one. Me, Josh, and Sam went to SanA for breakfast and came back to the Dhouse. Sam left to the cafe to talk to his family, and Josh went to eat lunch with his grandma. As for me, I had the opportunity to go and hang out with Timothy. Tim, Josh (Tim's brother), and Shota came and pick me up and we all went to Yamauchi park to play some B-ball. It was a great day to play at the park too. I was also blessed to see my old friends (Andre, Mashu, Shion, Jojo, and Nari). I haven't played B-ball for the longest time, so I got tired fast.

After we finished playing B-ball, Me, Tim, Josh, Shota, Nari, and Jojo went to Mihama Jusco to eat dinner. I had Okinawa Soba. I haven't had Okinawa Soba for the longest time also, and it was DELICIOUS!! Than we went to karaoke for two hours, and we sang our guts out haha. It was a blessed day just to be able to hang with old friends!

今日はゆっくりとした朝を過ごしました。俺とジョッシュとサムはサンエーで朝ごはんを買い、寮に戻ってきました。サムは家族と話したいからカフェに行き、ジョッシュはおばあちゃんと昼を食べに行きました。俺はティムと遊びに行くことができました。ティムとジョッシュ（ティムの弟）としょうたが向かいに来てくれて、山内公園でバスケをしました。そこで久しぶりに見る顔がいました。（アンちゃん、マーシュー、シオン、Jojo、なりみつ）久しぶりにバスケをやったのですぐに疲れてしまいました。

バスケの後はティムとジョッシュとしょうたとJojoとなりみつと一緒に美浜のJuscoに行って夕飯を食べました。そこで沖縄そばを食べました！沖縄そばも久しぶりに食べたから、でーじまーさんだった！その後二時間ぐらいカラオケに行き、歌いまくりました！（笑）久々に友達と会って、祝福な時を持てました。

Merry Christmas!!

It is the celebration of our dear Savior's birth. And the amazing thing is that this year it is on a Sunday!! Also it was my first Sunday morning service since I came back from Tokyo. And to start ff good, I was asked to play bass for worship! I haven't played bass in a long time so afterwards I got a blister on my finger haha.

For lunch all of us went to Ootoya for some Japanese dish. It was delicious and all! Than me and Josh went inside Best Denki and played some game, and later on headed to Round 1. We did not do spocha, but instead we played some arcade games.

This Christmas was different for me. I relearned about God's love towards me through a difficult situation. This Christmas, my heart was very heavy, but at the same time God lifted it up for His glory, Praise the Lord!

well I hope that everyone had a very merry Christmas! Amen for Jesus' birth!

皆さん、メリクリ！

クリスマスは私たちの救い主の誕生を祝う日です！で、今年のクリスマスのすばらしいことは、なんと、日曜日に重なったことです！沖縄に戻ってきて、久々に宜野湾の礼拝に参加しました。それに足すと、賛美でベースを弾いてくれないかと聞かれ、賛美を手伝うことができました！でも久々にベースを弾いたから、指にまめができちゃった（笑）

その日の昼はみんなで大戸家で和風食を食べました。昼後、俺とジョッシュ二人でバークレー店のベスト電器に行き、そこのアーケードゲームをしにいき、その後ラウンド１に行きました。スポチャはしなかったけど。

今年のクリスマスはとても違ったクリスマスになりました。今年は神の愛をつらい時の中で改めて知ることになりました。心はとても重くなったけど、神はその心を持ち上げ彼の栄光にへと変えてくれました。主に感謝です。

Christmas Eve!

Today in the morning, me and the others went to Sonoko-san's house to help with the Christmas party for her English class. I just went out with the others to help out if they needed. Not many kids came to the party, but it was still as fun! But compare to the Christmas party that I helped out at Fuchu, I felt like I did nothing.

And tonight, I went to "True Christmas" concert. Hakugaijin was playing at this concert and I wanted to meet Tim Newell and the Diaz's, so instead of going to Natsuki's house for dinner like everyone else, I went to the concert. The concert was great, and Hakugaijin did an awesome job in their performance. Not only that, it was a blessing just to see Eder and Amanda and Tim from Nago! I'm hoping to go to Nago to visit them again before I go back to Tokyo!!!

クリスマス・イブ！

今日の朝はそのこさんの家に行き、彼女の英会話の子供たちのためのクリスマスパーティーの手伝いに行きました。俺は何か手伝うことができればいいなと思いながら行きました。パーティーにはそんなに子供たちがいなかったけど、楽しかったです！府中のクリスマスパーティーと比べれば手伝った達成感はゼロ…

そして、よりには"True Christmas"と言うコンサートに行きました。そのコンサートにHAKUGAIJINNが演奏すると聞いて、ティムとディアズたちに会いたかったので、他のみんなとなつきの家に行かず、コンサートに行ってきました。コンサートはとても良く、HAKUGAIJINNの演奏もすばらしかったです！それだけではなく、祝福なのはエダーとアマンダとティムに会えた事です。東京に戻る前に、一回ぐらい名護に遊びに行きたいです！

Okinawa Day 2

Today in the morning I ate miso soup at the cafe and we gathered together for morning prayer. Afterwards I went back to my house to give presents and talk with my mom. Than I went back to Mihama and this time I hanged around with my "little brother", Aogu. He is not my real brother, but I treat him like he's my brother haha. I have known him for about four years now, and he is getting older. Time flies when you are away. We played some arcade games, and we even saw a live performance right outside of Outlet J. We mostly talked and caught up on some stuff. I hope to hang around with him more during my stay.

今日はカフェで味噌汁の朝食を食べ、みんなと祈りの時間を持ちました。その後、一旦家に帰り、お土産やプレゼントを渡しに行きました。午後はまた美浜に戻り、今日は俺の弟、仰、と遊びに行きました。仰は本当の弟ではないんですけど、弟みたいな存在です。もう大体彼を4年間知っています。アーケードゲームをし、アウトレットＪの外でライブパフォーマンスも見ました。ゆんたくしながら楽しい時間を過ごしました。沖縄にいる間、彼ともっと遊べる時間が与えられますように。

Back in Oki!!

So yesterday I made it safely back to Okinawa. It was a crazy experience coming back here. First of all I experienced getting pushed in the train, and it was a squeezing experience!! I felt so bad for the others, because I had my suitcase with me and the people just came pushing themselves in, so I think, including myself, other people's feet got squished by my suitcase. And once I arrived at the airport, I did some Christmas/souvenir shopping too. But there was nothing much at Narita airport, so I couldn't do much shopping there. The flight to Okinawa was LONG....it was blah haha. And to added to my "blah", my Ipod broke two days ago, so I was literally just sleeping most of the time on the plane.

Once I arrived to Okinawa, Josh picked me up from the airport. It was a bad traffic, so we couldn't get on time for dinner at the cafe, so we stopped by at Gyukichi on the pipeline. Afterwards we went to Mihama and I did some Christmas shoppings there (sorry it's not from Tokyo). And we also went to Dragon Palace and got on the 4D ride. It was awesome cause we were the only one there! Than we played some games, and headed to Sega and played some crane games. I was suprised with Josh's skill at the crane game, and at the same time I was like "rich boy"...haha

Well the journey just began, I wonder what other things God has in store for me in the coming days!!!

昨日沖縄に無事到着しました。でも沖縄に着くまではとてもクレイジーな経験をしました。始めに電車の中で押されまくられ、ぎゅうぎゅう詰めになってしまいました。ほかの人に迷惑かけてしまったな、って思いながら押されていました。なぜなら、スーツケースを運んでいて、押された途端たぶん俺のスーツケースで脚を踏まれた人がいたと思うからです。んで、空港についてクリスマス（お土産）ショッピング！でも成田ではあんましいいものが売っていなかった～orz で、同時に二日前にipodが壊れたから、飛行機の中ではただ眠っていたという悲しい出来事があり、でーじ長かった、沖縄につくまで、ありえんし～！！

で、沖縄に到着！ジョッシュが迎えに来てくれて、夕飯はカフェで食べるつもりが渋滞…お腹が空いていたのでパイプラインの牛吉に行きました。その後美浜に行き、クリスマスショッピングを続けました。（東京からのではなくてすみません）その後、ドラパレで4Dライドに乗りました。なんと！貸しきり状態！！アーケードゲームをした後、セガに行きUFOキャッチャーをしました。ジョッシュのスキルにチョーびっくり！でも同時に「リッチャーやっさー」と思っていました（笑）

でも旅はこれから！神様がほかに何を計画しているかでーじ楽しみやっさ～！

Edo museum and Karaoke

Before Asher left to Hawaii, we all went to Edo museum. At the museum, there was a lot of things concerning the Edo period. Also there was a volunteer who showed us around the museum, and she spoke English so I think Zach and Asher learned a lot from her. It would be a great spot to take the coming CCBC students too. Afterwards we went to Karaoke!! It's been a long time since I been to karaoke, so I was all excited! While singing BEGIN, I was saying to myself, "Almost Okinawa!" lol

アッシャーがハワイに帰る前に、みんなで江戸美術館に行きました。江戸美術館では江戸時代のころのものがたくさんありました。　ボランティアで美術館を案内してくれる人がいたので案内してもらいました。案内してくれた人は英語も話せて、ザックとかアッシャーはいろいろと勉強になったと思います。CCBCの生徒たちを連れてくるひとつのスポットにもなったかな（笑）。そして夜にみんなでカラオケにいきました！久しぶりに行ったからでーじ興奮したさ～！！BEGINとか歌いながら、もうすぐ沖縄、とか考えていた自分がいましたｍ（＿　＿）ｍ

Hanging out with Tom Cotton

The Okinawa group came for the conference and afterwards they went to Touhouku. When they came back, the next day Tommy and Joel went back to Okinawa, but Tom went to Australia to spend his Christmas holiday there. His flight was not until later on, so me and Tom hanged around in Tokyo before his flight. First we went to Kichijyouji and bought lunch from McDonald's and went to the big park. We ate our lunch there and just had a great time talking and catching up on things. Afterwards we went to Ueno, and just walked around that area, including Ameyouko. Tom showed me around the places that he knew, and it was my first time since I came to Tokyo to actually go around places too. It was a blessed time just to be able to spend time with him.

コンファレンスの為に沖縄からのグループが来て、コンファレンスが終わった後、彼らは東北に行きました。東北から帰ってきた次の日にトムさんとジョールは沖縄に帰り、トム・コットンは冬休みにオーストラリアに帰りました。でも出発まで時間があったので一緒に東京で時間を過ごしました。最初に吉祥寺に行って、ランチを買い、近くの大きい公園で時間をつぶしました。公園で昼を食べながらゆんたくしました。その後、上野に行き、そこらへんを歩き回りました。アメ横にも行きました！トムは彼が知っている場所を案内してくれて、俺は東京来てから初めて東京のあちらこちら行けたので、楽しかったです。トムと交わりできて、でーじ祝福だった。

WGEF Preschool Christmas Play

On Friday 16th was the WGEICP (We Go Eigo International Christian Preschool) Christmas Play. All of the children practiced very hard for about two-three weeks, and now it's the real deal! Everyone did a fine and a fabulous job performing their individual parts. It was also amazing as the mom's and dad's came and saw the true meaning of Christmas, which is the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Good job everyone, and also to the teachers and helpers!!

16日の金曜日はWGEICPのクリスマス劇！子供たち全員2－3週間練習をがんばりました。そして、ついに本番！！みんなとてもすばらしい演技力を発揮し、その役目を演じました。また、お母さんやお父さん方が見に来てクリスマスの本当の意味を知ることができたと思います。それは私たちの主と救い主、イエス・キリストの誕生です！皆さんよくできました！！そして、先生方と手伝ってくれた人たちにも、お疲れ様です。

Christmas Party

After the Conference, from 5pm~8pm, we had our WeGoEigoFuchu Christmas Party. It is similar to the Family Fun Night, where the kids came and play games for prizes. Not only that but the children had a gift exchange. Most of the games were hand-made (by me!), but God used it for the kids to have an enjoyable time at the party. Pastor Rich made some Shouyu-chicken for the people. Also me and Mariko were blessed to perform a puppet show to the kids, and the show was about Christmas. This day was very busy, but at the same time a huge blessing. I was blessed to be able to bless the kids with the games and the puppet show. Hope everyone had a great time! cause I know that I did!!

コンファレンス後、午後5時から8時、WeGoEigo府中でのクリスマスパーティーがありました！！ファミリーファンナイトと同じで、子供たちが来てゲームを遊んで景品とか勝ち取る時でした。でもそれだけではなく、ギフト交換もしました！！＼（◎з＊）／！ほぼのゲームは手作り（俺が作りましたorz）だけど神様はそれを通して子供たちが楽しい時間を過ごせるために用いてくれました。リッチ牧師はみんなのため醤油チキンを作ってくれました。また、俺とまりこは子供たちのためにパペットショーをしました。劇はクリスマスについてです。とても忙しい一日だったけど、同じくとても祝福な一日でした。俺は子供たちにゲームやパペットショーを祝福できたことが祝福でした。皆さんよい時間を過ごせましたか？俺はでーじ楽しめましたよ！

CCBC Tokyo Conference

Friday night and Saturday (9th&10th), at CCFuch, CCBC held a conference themed "Love God, Love People". Conference started off on Friday night with Zach Ruiz and Tom Cotton sharing. Zach taught on assisting the Pastor, while Tom shared on Serving in Life. Both of the session were very well taught. On Saturday (second day of the conference), Peter shared about Serving Jesus, and after that we had workshops. First workshops split the men and the lady's. Joel taught for the guys, and Aki taught for the girls. Than we split up again for the second workshop. Yasutomo taught about Workplaces, while I had the opportunity to teach about Children's ministry. Than we had our lunch break. After the lunch break Michael taught the last session on Worship, and Zach lead in time of communion. It was a blessed time hearing from different speakers from the Word of God. My prayer is for everyone who came and heard the teachings will be able to apply what they heard. I know that God's Spirit was moving at the conference, and He is faithful to continue guiding each one of our lives.

金曜日と土曜日（9日と10日）ではＣＣ府中でＣＣＢＣのコンファレンスが行われました。テーマは「神を愛し、人を愛し」でした。金曜日の夜からコンファレンスは開始し、ザックとトムが教えてくれました。ザックは牧師を支える働きについて語り、トムは日々の奉仕について語ってくれました。とてもよい学びの時でした。土曜日（コンファレンス二日目）では始めにピーターが主の奉仕について語り、その後ワークショップがありました。最初のワークショップではジョールが男性を教え、あきが女性たちに教えました。ワークショップ第二ではやすともが仕事場について語り、俺がキッズミニストリーについて語る機会が与えれました。昼ごはんに休憩を持ち、最後にマイケルが最後のセッション「賛美」について語ってくれました。その後、ザックが聖餐式に導いてくれました。違うスピーカーから主の御言葉を学ぶときを持てて、とても祝福な時間となりました。俺の祈りとして、コンファレンスに来た皆さんが学んだことを実際に適応する事ができることです。主の霊がコンファレンス中働いていたことを信じ、一人ひとりの人生を導いてくれることを祈ります。

Classical Concert

Today me, Zach, Mariko, Aki, Tsubasa, and Asher went to a classical concert at Fuchu Mori Art Theater. Mariko's friend was in the band, and Mariko asked us if we would like to come and to cheer her friend, and we had nothing else that was going on, so we went. It was an amazing band, and I really enjoyed it. But we missed the first performance, which was Pink Panther, and I was sad about it....but anyways, good job to the band!!

今日俺とザック、まりこ、あき、つばささん、アッシャーで府中の森芸術劇場でクラシックコンサートを見に行きました。まりこの友達がバンドに入っていて、まりこが一緒に応援しに行かないと聞いて、ほかに何もなかったのでみんなで行きました。とてもすばらしい演奏で、エンジョイしました。でも最初の演奏、ピンクパンサーを聞き逃したことにがっかりした…でもブラスバンドの皆さんおつかれまさです！

Youth Fun Day

Every Saturday at CCFuchu we have a Youth Fun Day, a day where the youth come and hang around and play games. I asked Pastor Rich about having a youth group on Saturday, and now it has been done. This Saturday has been the third time since we officially made it every Saturday, and the first two Saturdays no youth showed up. But this time the Hawaii Youth team was here, and also one youth showed up! So we decided to have a Balloon Volleyball. Indoor volleyball where the difference is the ball is the balloon. It was an interesting tournament based game, and I personally thought that everyone had a great time. It was a bummer, however, that one youth left early before I even shared something about the Bible, or Jesus. Please pray for the youth ministry at CCFuchu that it will go according to God's plan and not mine.

毎週土曜日ＣＣ府中ではユースファンデイがあります。これはユースが教会に来て、ゲームとか交わりの時間を過ごす日です。リッチ牧師に毎週土曜日にユースグループを行ってもいいですかと聞いた中、おｋの返事をもらい実行しているミニストリーです。オフィシャルにして三回目のユース、前の土曜日では誰も来なかったけど、今回はハワイから来ているユースチームが来ていて、それではなくユースが一人来ました！そこで風船バレーをしました。普通のバレーとおんなじだけど、違いはボールが風船だけ。とても興味深いトーナメント戦になりました。個人的にはみんなは楽しい時間を過ごせたと思っています。でも悲しいことは、聖書のことやイエス様のことを話せる前にユースが帰ってしまったことです。どうかＣＣ府中でのユースミニストリーが自分ではなく神様の御心の中に導かれることを祈って下さい。

ASIJ (American School In Japan) Bazaar

Saturday there was a Bazaar at ASIJ (American School In Japan). So me, Zach, Asher, Rich, Candice, the Hawaii youth team, and some moms and their kids went to it. There was so many people there, and the amazing thing is that it was a fundraising bazaar. At one of the bazaar? you can buy a medium size paper bag for 500yen and you can stuff as many books as you want. So me and Candice looked around for books for the school. But I could only find one book, and it was a so-so book haha. But at the bazaar, I mostly hanged with Kousei. It was just fun hanging with him and got to know him better. We even saw a dance club perform their dance moves, and there were not bad.

土曜日にはＡＳＩＪ（アメリカン・スクール・イン・ジャパン）でバザールがありました。そこで俺とザック、アッシャー、リッチ、キャンディス、ハワイのユースチーム、とママ達と子供たちで見に行きました。いっぱいの人が来ていて、すごいこと募金の為のバザールだったこと！ある場所で袋500円で本つめ放題があったので、俺とキャンディスは学校用の本を探しました。でも、俺は本一冊しか探せなく、まぁまぁな本でもあった。でもバザールではほとんどこうせいと一緒にいました。一緒に過ごした時間は楽しくて、彼のことをもっと知りました。またダンスクラブのパフォーマンスも見ることができた、悪くはなかった（笑

Tokyo Disney Land (Birthday Party)

All of my friends would talk about the good magical times that they had at Disney Land, and I would just set and listen to them. And for the longest time, I wanted to go and experience the magic too. So I thought, I'm living in Tokyo now, and there is Disney Land in Tokyo, and my birthday is coming up soon...so, why not? So I asked Rich if I can go to Disney Land for my birthday, and he said sure. And I opened it up to everyone who wanted to come on the 19th of November to Disney Land. So on Saturday, total of 25 people, including myself, went to Tokyo Disney Land!!!! It was the best time ever, but the downside about it was that the weather was like a typhoon and there were still a lot of people who were there. But it was a blessed day.

いつも友達はディズニーランドで魔法にかけられたと話を聞いていた。そのため、長い間そのディズニーランドに行って魔法にかけられる経験をしたかった。で、今東京にいるし、東京にディズニーランドもあるし、もうすぐ誕生日だから…行っちゃえ！そんで、リッチに誕生日にディズニーに行けますかと聞いてみたら、オッケーをもらいました。んで１９日に行くから、行きたい人は誰でも参加できるようにしたのだ！で、そこで、土曜日に来たのは合計で（自分を含めて）２５名でした！もう！最高の時間だった！でも、がっかりだたのは天気が台風のような天気にもかかわらずいっぱい人がいたのだった！でも祝福な日だったよ～！

Today we went to Koganei Park for a field trip. The total number of kids who came was twenty in all (ten boys and ten girls). The kids, in my opinion, had a great time playing at the park. Here are some photos that I took. Praise the Lord for the great weather!

Pastor's conference at Okutama

Monday through Wednesday, I attended the Pastor's conference at Okutama. There were many familiar faces there, including Jon Piper! I was able to hang out with Jon and also with other people. The main theme of the conference teaching was about God's grace. Pastor Bill Stonebreaker and Tim Newman and Bob Haags taught us from the Word. The thing I enjoyed the most was the fellowship time. Was able to talk with many people and just had a relaxing time with everyone. A real blessed time.

月曜から水曜日、パスタース・カンファレンスに参加しました。久しぶりに会う方も参加していて、すごいよい時間を過ごしました。（ジョンもいたよ！）カンファレンスの教えのテーマは神の恵みでした。ビル牧師、ティム牧師、とボブ牧師が御言葉から教えてくれました。一番よかったのは交わりのときかな。多くの人々とゆんたくしながら、リラックスできました。とても祝福な時をもてました。

On Saturday the 5th, I went to Tokorozawa with Pastor Rich and Candice to watch a basketball game. A guy who is in the Saitama Broncos team goes to Pastor Travis's church in Tokorozawa. So Pastor Travis invited us if we would like to come and watch the game and cheer him on. However, the Saitama Broncos was going against Ryukyu Golden Kings. So I went and cheered the Saitama Broncos, but the Okinawa team was winning. So in the end, in my heart, I was cheering for the Ryukyu Golden Kings. The final result of the game.....Broncos 75, Golden Kings 96. Ryukyu Golden Kings won the game. It was an exciting game!

土曜日にリッチ牧師とキャンディスと一緒にバスケの試合見に所沢に行きました。トラベス牧師の教会に埼玉ブロンコスのバスケチームに入っている方がいて、試合があるから見に来る？って誘われていきました。しかし！なんと！埼玉ブロンコス対琉球ゴールデンキングスだったのだ！！！！！埼玉ブロンコスのチームにいる方を応援していたけど…沖縄からの攻めがやばかった。結局琉球ゴールデンキングス応援しちゃった（ジャンジャン♪）。結果は………………………ブロンコス７５点、ゴールデンキングス９６点。琉球ゴールデンキングスが勝ちました。とてもすごい試合だった！

Busy and nothing to blog? (only English)

well, these days, I have been busy with the preschool and also with the Bible college, and I have not had the time to post anything for a long time. So to catch-up on some stuff, I'm posting this one, haha.

First of all, at CCFuch, we had a Family fun night on Sunday night. On this particular day, the church (as well as the Preschool) invited the people to come and join for a little carnival time. It is similar to the Fall Festival at CCOkinawa. We had fun games and gave out toys and candies. We even had two of the girls who comes to the jyuku teach the kids some dance moves. About two hundred people came over, and it was just a fun fellowship time.

Second I made a new Okinawa friend here at Tokyo. He came to Tokyo for college, but right now he is working. So on Tuesday we both had some free time, so we decided to go to Round 1. We played some arcade games, but mainly we went to karaoke. It was great just to hang with him and to get to know each other.

Thirdly, Caroline, who came from Hawaii to help out with the preschool left yesterday. She was here for about two months or so. She is planning to come back around April, but still waiting on the Lord for directions. She was a huge blessing here at CCFuchu, and we will miss her very much.

That is about it, and this time it is only in English. So sorry.

Dinner with Rika

Rika Wunderlich (Rob's wife) came down to Tokyo to attend her friend's wedding ceremony. Before she went back to Okinawa, she wanted to see both me and Zach. So she invited both of us to her mother's house for a dinner. It was great seeing Rika again, and I had a blessed time. Rika's mom made some great dinner and also Rika's friend brought home-made dessert.

ワンダーリッチ・りか（ロバートの奥さん）は友達の結婚式に参加するため東京に訪れました。彼女は沖縄に帰る前にトッキーとザックに会いたいと思い、私たちを彼女の家で夕飯に招いてくれました。りかさんとまた会えて嬉しかったよ！とても祝福な時でした。りかさんのお母さんが手巻き寿司を作ってくれて、りかさんのお友達はデザートを持ってきてくれました！でーじまーさんだったよ！

yesterday after church, Rich, Candice, Caroline, Zach, Aisha, Aisha's mom, and I went to a huge home center close to one of the base here in Tokyo area. The place was huge, and I mean huge. It was like Ikea to me!!! But it was a good fellowship time with Aisha and her mom!

昨日の午後、リッチ、キャンディス、キャロライン、ザック、あいしゃ、あいしゃのママ、と一緒に大きいホームセンターに行きました。そのジョイフル・ホンダはでーじ大きかった、アキアぐらいの大きさ（マジで！）でも、あいしゃとあいしゃのママとの交わりの時間はとても良かったよ～！

On Saturday, We Go Eigo Fuch had a Sports day at Fuch Forest park! Many of the families came and had a enjoyable time. The big event for the kids was the relay race, which they practiced at the park by the school, a week before the sports day. And I think the parents enjoyed their event of dodge-ball, but i enjoyed their jump ropes haha. It was just a great blessing to get to know the parents and the kids more outside the school.

土曜日は府中の森公園でウィーゴー英語の運動会が行われました。多くの家族が来て楽しい時間を持てました。運動会のメイン・イベントはリレー。運動会の前の一週間は学校の近くで練習をしていたんだよ！パパママは多分ドッジボールをエンジョイしたと思うけど、俺的には縄跳びが面白かった。学校以外で子供たちと子供の両親と時間を過ごしたのがすごい祝福な時間だった！

Today, a lady from the church, Mizue-san, took me and Caroline to Kichijyouji. We went around the place, and it was packed with people.

For lunch we had Indian curry, and afterwards we went to one of the park and rode on a row boat. It was a great fellowship time and a great day! Thank you Mizue-san and Caroline!!

Daichi in Tokyo!!

A surprising friend came all the way from Tokyo on Friday! Daichi Shimabukuro!!! He is in Tokyo for a college interview. He will be staying at his friend's house somewhere in Tokyo. But on the day when he arrived (Friday), his friend was at school. They were going to meet up with each other 7 p.m. So he was just walking around Shinjuku area, and boom, he called me up, and we hanged out that day! We met up at Fuchu Station and had McDonalds for lunch, than walk around the area, and finally settled down for karaoke at Round 1. It was a great fellowship time. Please continue to pray for Daichi as he will be preparing to go into college, and also that he would be able to have time to come to church and to hear from God.

well, fall is here, and the weather is changing. I personally like the summer, the heat, rather than the cool air. The people here is saying that it's cool and nice, but to me it's cold. I even wear a jacket now haha

but it will get colder as we move forward to winter time...i need to get a thick jacket than...

After Youth Fun Day, Mariko Miyagi came up with the idea for any Christians to gather at CCFuchu to come and just have a time of worship. Not many people came, but people gathered, brought their instruments, and we just jammed. It was a great time just to gathered together in the name of Jesus, and to praise His name with the gifts that He has given to us.

ユース・ファン・ディーの後、宮城マリコがＣＣ府中で賛美の時間を持つイベントを実行しました。いっぱいの人は来なかったけど、楽器を持ってきた人たちもいて、一緒に主をほめたたえました。キリストの名を通して集まり、主が与えてくれた賜物を通して主を賛美する時間を持てたことに感謝です。

Saturday Youth Fun day!

At CCFuchu they have a saturday youth fun day, like once a month. The youth (mainly the Miwa familys) come and play games at the church and just a time of hanging out. And normally they have a short message, but this time I had the opportunity to share my testimony to the youths who came. It was a blessed time for me, as I was able to get to know the youths and to encourage them through my testimony.

Also the youths bought birthday present for Rich (his birthday is on the 29th) and had a little small celebration too.

ＣＣ府中では多分一ヶ月に一回にユース・ファン・ディーを行っています。これは、ユースが教会に集まって、ゲームと交わりの時間を過ごす日です。短いメッセージもいつもしているみたいだけど、今回は自分の証を分かち合いました。とても祝福な時間を過ごすことができ、また自分の証を通してユースたちを励ますことが出来たと思う。

リッチさんの誕生日は29日だけど、ユースたちがリッチさんに誕生日プレゼントを買ってきて、小さな誕生祝をしました。

Today me and Caroline went on to another bike ride adventure in Fuchu. This time we went to Fuchu Station area. But before we went on to our adventure, Caroline made a wonderful breakfast! It was amazing!!

今日キャロラインとまた自転車に乗って府中を冒険しに行きました。今回は府中駅ら辺を回りました。でも冒険に出かける前に、キャロラインがすばらしい朝ごはんを作ってくれて、でーじ祝福だった！

After breakfast we headed to the Fuchu Station. The first place we stopped by was the 100yen store. There Caroline bought some stuff as a souvenior gift to her family.

朝食後、府中駅に向かい、最初に訪れたのがダイソー。そこで、キャロラインはお土産を買いましたとさ。笑

Than we met up with Rich, Candice, Zach, Lewis, Kumiko, and Mariko for lunch, Sushi Roll! I only ate six plates, because my stomach was still full from breakfast. It was a nice lunch time fellowship!

その後、リッチ、キャンディス、ザック、ルイス、久美子とマリコと一緒に寿司ローで昼ごはんを食べました。朝ごはんでまだおなかがいっぱいだったから、皿六枚しか食べなかった。でも、とても良い昼の交わりだったよ！

After lunch, me and Caroline went back to Fuchu Station to look around more. And when we were about to ride back to church, Caroline spotted a puppet show! It was cute, and some of the little kids got scared of it haha

昼を食べた後、またキャロラインと府中駅に戻りました。教会に戻るときに、キャロラインがパペット劇をしている人を見つけたので、それをちょっと見ました。とても可愛い劇で、周りにいた子供たちは猫のパペットを恐れていた・・・（(￣◇￣；)ガーン

On Monday, due to Japanese holiday (Respect for the Aged Day), so there was no school. So in the evening some of us gathered together for a good ol' BBQ and board games, and also Ping-Pong. It was a really good time of fellowship and a great time of laughter (as we played charade).

月曜日は敬老の日だったから、学校はお休み！その為、何人か教会に集まってバーベキューとゲームをしました！（卓球も）。とても楽しい交わりと笑いの時だったよ！（ジェスチャーゲームがとても楽しかった！）

Biking around town

Caroline, from Hawaii, is here for a short time helping at the church right now. And she wanted to see around town today (because it was a holiday, so no school), so we went biking around town.

First we went toward one of the park called Nogawa, than to a neighborhood area around Koganei, than we stopped at Denny's and ate breakfast, than we went through the graves (Tama-reien), and back to the church area, than to another park called Musashino, and all the way around the Ajinomoto Stadium, than back to the church. It was a fun ride!

ハワイから短期、教会の手伝いに来ているキャロラインと今日自転車に乗って町に観光しに行きました！祝日だったので、時間があったのだ！最初に野川公園に行き、小金井ら辺の住宅街を通って、Denny'sで朝ごはん済まし、多磨霊園を通って教会に戻り、その後また教会ら辺にある公園（武蔵野の公園）に行き、味の素スタジアムを回って、教会に戻りました！とても楽しかった！

9/11 marks the 2 year anniversary of CCFuchu!

So at the church, Pastor Rich had an 2 year anniversary party/outreach on Sunday evening. Most of the moms that comes to the Pre-School here is unsaved. And on Sunday evening, many of the moms (and their children) came.

The CCFuchu worship team played couple of worship songs, Candice danced hula to "Come just as you are", and the friend of the Miwa family, Misa, came and played songs. Also Pastor Rich shared short version of his testimony. It was a great time!

9・11にＣＣ府中の2周年記念を祝いました！

日曜の夕方にその2周年を祝うパーティー（アウトリーチ）をしました。ここの保育園に来る大体のお母さん方はまだ救われていません。でも、日曜の夕方にほぼのお母さん方（子供も）来てくれました。

ＣＣ府中の賛美チームは賛美を何曲か演奏してくれて、キャンディスは"Come just as you are"の曲に合わせてフラダンスをしてくれて、美和家族の友達のみささんもギターを演奏しに来てくれました。それと、リッチ牧師は彼の証（ショートヴァージョン）を分かち合ってくれました。とても楽しい時となりました！

Men's Breakfast and Bowling fellowship

On Saturday the 10th, at Calvary Chapel Fuchu, we had the Men's breakfast. At the breakfast, Zach had the opportunity to teach/share from the Bible, and he encouraged each of us (the men of course) of our duty for the Lord. In which, before we can minister unto the Lord, we first need to cleanse ourselves.

10日の土曜日にＣＣ府中で男性の朝食会がありました！朝食会でザックがメッセージを語ってくれました。とても良い励ましの言葉を主の御言葉から通して分かち合ってくれました。それは、自分たちが主の前に使える前、自信を最初に清めなければいけない。

Afterwards I went back to the apartment and took a nap haha

その後、アパートに戻り、昼寝した！笑

But in the evening, me, Zach, Pastor Rich, Yasutomo, and Yuuki went to Round 1 to have fellowship time. At Round 1, instead of paying lots of money to do Spo-cha, we bowled. I did not do so well, but Pastor Rich had an awesome score! (197!!!).

I was not used to bowling more than two games (we bowled SIX games!!!), so my arm was very tired...But I had a lot of fun!

でも、土曜の夕方は自分と、ザック、リッチ牧師、やすともとゆうきとRound 1で交わりの時間を過ごしました。スポチャではなく、皆でボーリングをしました。高点は取れなかったけど、楽しいときとなりました。リッチ牧師の高点は何と１９７！

今回（普段は2ゲームだけするけど）、なんと6ゲームをしました！楽しかったけど、腕が筋肉痛～・・・

Birthday Party!

In August, there was no school, so yesterday we celebrated these three kids birthday at the school. It was Teruki, Misaki, and Yuuna's birthday party!

Misaki and Yuuna's mom brought in the birthday cake, and Rich and Candice bought them a birthday present.

Curry!

So yesterday night, I made curry. But the time I made the curry was at 21:30! (9:30p.m). The reason why I made it so late was that I was helping at the church, preparing for the craft that we made today. I went back to the house around nine, but I had to go to the supermarket to buy ingredients for the curry. And curry was done about 22:30 (10:30). So I had a late dinner. But I was able to take some for bento today.

So finally, at CCFuchu, the school has officially began today! To me, the day went quick, and it felt the same as summer school. But comparing it to summer school, there was less kids, and I mean LESS kids. haha

On Thursday night, Tatsuhiko came over to the apartment and spend that night. And the following day, me, Zach, and Tatsuhiko went to Fuchu Station and hanged out. For all of us, it was the first time going and looking around the place. It was confusing at first, but in the end it all worked out.

And for lunch, we went out to Yokohama Ramen joint that was near the station. The taste...Amazing!

the bike ride adventure

Today after settling a bit at the apartment, Zach needed to go to immigration to buy his re-entry sticker thing. So Zach searched the map to see where it was, and it didn't look that far on it, so we took the bikes and rode all the way over there. It was pretty easy to get there, but it took us about an hour to get there. I haven't rode a bike that long of a distance in a while, so my leg is tired....And after coming back from the immigration (another hour), we took a little break at the church, and rode again to Don Quixote and to the 100yen shop to buy some stuff.

CCBC Tokyo's first class

CCBC Tokyo has now officially started! Every Tuesday night from 8~10 Zach will be teaching the book of Acts at Calvary Chapel Fuchu! It was a blessing for Lewis to come and attend the first class taught by Zach.

Zach taught the first two chapter in Acts. We took some breaks to say goodbye to the Spearmans as they headed out to the airport. But it was a great two hours!

So tonight was the day when Rusty, Amber, and Adelle is heading back to Idaho. I have known Rusty and Amber since my first semester at the Bible College in Okinawa. So I have known them for about four years. I will miss them, but I know that God will do great things for them. So please continue to keep them in their prayers as they are being lead by God!

After sunday service around dinner time, some of the church family and me and Zach and Joanna went out to dinner with the Spearman's. Rusty and Amber and Adelle is going back to the states for a while, so we all went out to eat at a restaurant called Ken's. This restaurant reminded me of On Dish back in Okinawa, because they too had an all you can ice cream and salad bar. It was pretty good, but personally I didn't like the food that I ordered...

but the ice cream was very good!!

First Sunday service @ CC Fuchu

Well the first sunday at CC Fuchu was great! What was interesting was that Pastor Rich taught from the same portion of Scripture where Pastor Tommy (CC Ginowan) was teaching out from. So the message was from 1 Corinthians 7:17-40.

Today's message really spoke to my heart. From verses 17-24, Paul tells us that no matter what kind of situation that we are in, we have to remember to do what we are called to do. And often times I want to change the situation, "Oh, if it was like this, I would be able to serve God more better." etc. (you get the idea).

But what Paul is saying that whatever situation that I am in, slave or free, God put me in to that situation, and I have the responsibility to use that situation to bring God the glory or not.

And as I am in Tokyo right now, I have to be content in what God has called me out here for, to teach the book of Mark to those who are going to be here and also to serve at the churches and to be available to the people.

After the service, everyone went to buy bento (or some even brought it) and gathered back at the church. And when everyone was back, we all ate lunch together. It was interesting, because back in Okinawa we would just split and go out to eat with one another. But it was a blessed time to spend time with the CC Fuchu family. (even though I was not able to talk to many of them...)

Zach got tired, so he decided to take a nap around three or so haha

On Saturday, Lewis took me and Zach around Tokyo. It was a blessing time just hang with him and also to see the city.

First we went to Shinjuku and went to the goverment office. The reason why we went there was to go up to the 45th floor. The entrance fee is free and you can see the city pretty good. (pictures are below) And on clear days, they said that you can see Mt. Fuji!

Than afterwards we went to Akihabara. I asked Lewis to take us there because I heard from my friend that you can buy electronics pretty cheap out there. However, from Pastor Rich's information, Akihabara is not cheap now and you can buy the electronics at electronic stores for about the same price. So I was little bummed out about it, but it was just fun seeing around the place.

Than lastly, we went to Ochanomizu. At this city, right outside the station, there is tons of music instrument stores. There was a store which sold guitars (classic, electric, bass), and Saxophone, violins, and other instruments which I forgot what it is...haha

But overall, it was exciting for me to just go out to the city area for the first time. And if I were to compare to Okinawa, I would say "It's like Kokusai street, but not just in one place, but everywhere"

CCFuchu does this pre-school thing, where the kids come and learn english (its called "We Go Eigo!") But the school does not start until the second week of September. But for about two week, at the end of August, they have a summer school program. And during this time a lot of kids come and have fun! They learn about God and Jesus, sing and dance, play games, and learn English at the same time. How awesome is that!

The summer school finishes this Friday, and most of the kids who comes here are not saved (from what I heard from). So please remember about the children that the people here can give some kind of impact, and that God will continue to work in their lives!

The kids are super cute and awesome, and I will try to take pictures and post it to the next blog.

But it will be a busy week for me, and also for Zack! But playing with the kids is so much fun, and tiring at the same time haha

Normally at Sunday nights, we have a W2 (Worship & Word) service at the church. However because me and Zack are moving to Tokyo (and leaving the next day), we had a beach bash/going away party at the Kouki Beach.

It was just a nice, relaxing fellowship time with the church family. The beach was awesome, and I was able to hang time with my three closest friends too.

I am going to miss you all! But I will be back!

well, I had the opportunity to share a devotion at the church today, and thought that I would like to share to the readers

God has been speaking to my heart a lot in the little time I have left in Okinawa (as I am moving to Tokyo in 11 more days!!)

but God is good.

(the devotion below is from the notes that I wrote)

1 Peter 5:5-11

Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves to your elders. Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for “God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.” Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world. But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. To Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

Subject: Be humble, watchful, and steadfast.

Compliment: And God will perfect, establish, strengthen, and settles you.

Complete thought: Be humble, watchful, and steadfast; and God will perfect, establish, strengthen, and settles you.

Intro: Have you ever felt depressed, or felt lonely? I know that I do. And I tend to hold everything in. But God reminded me of his faithfulness here in this portion. And as we look through God’s word, my encouragement to you guys is to be reminded of God’s faithfulness in our lives.

I. V.5-7

(ア) Humility - The quality or condition of being humble

① Humble – not proud

(イ) “Be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility”

① Why?

1. “for ‘God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble’” (Prov.3:34)

2. God is our Heavenly Father, who cares about us

(ア) However, if we become prideful and not walking in humility, we are rejecting the God’s kindness.

(イ) God wants to help us in our every situation.

① Everything was made by God, even ourselves

② There is nothing that we can do without the help from God

③ Without God, we are helpless

(ウ) How to be humble?

① “casting all your care upon Him (God)”

1. Because God cares about you.

2. That is God’s love toward us

3. David Guzik “True humility is shown by our ability to cast our care upon God. It is proud presumption to take things into our own worry and care about things that God has promised to take care of.”

II. V.8

(ア) Sober – to be calm and collected in spirit; temperate, dispassionate, circumspect (to be on guard)

(イ) Vigilant – to be cautious, watchful not to fall into sin

① Why?

1. because “your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour”.

2. David Guzik “For Christians, Satan is a lion who may roar but who has been de-fanged at the cross (Colossians 2:15). Yet the sound of his roar - his deceptive lies - is still potent and he has the power to devour souls and rob Christians of effectiveness.”

(ア) Satan’s roar, the deceptive lies, can take our tiny problems that we have and make it look humongous.

① And when we tend to believe in the lies of Satan, fall into his deception, it is possible to lose our effectiveness as Christians.

III. V.9

(ア) What we need to do?

① This is a spiritual warfare, and we need to;

1. Resist him, be steadfast in faith, and know that you are not the only one who are going through this suffering.

(ア) When we are steadfast in our faith, we are able to resist the devils lies, his threats, and his intimidations.

(イ) Chuck Smith “The Bible never tells us to yield to Satan or to give up, but to resist him in the faith (James 4:7).”

(イ) And I know that I do go through this suffering, but as Peter states, I am not the only one who are going through this.

① Like Elijah, when he was fleeing from Jezebel after the great victory at Mount Carmel.

1. He thought that he was the only one (1 Kings 19:14)

(ア) And he said, "I have been very zealous for the LORD God of hosts; because the children of Israel have forsaken Your covenant, torn down Your altars, and killed Your prophets with the sword. I alone am left; and they seek to take my life."

2. but God comforted him (1 Kings 19:18)

(ア) "Yet I have reserved seven thousand in Israel, all whose knees have not bowed to Baal, and every mouth that has not kissed him."

② And I think we all can take comfort by knowing that we are never alone in our spiritual warfare

1. but what is more comforting to know is that every sufferings that we faced or going to face, Jesus went through all of it. (Hebrews 4:14-16)t

IV. V.10-11

(ア) Ultimately God of all grace is the one who “will perfect you, establish you, strengthen you, and settle you”.

① As we walk in this world, we will struggle and suffer, it is not a easy road

1. But as we are in our suffering and in our struggles, God will use that to perfect you, to establish you, to strengthen you, and to settle you.

2. Remember Joseph in Genesis?

(ア) He went through a lot

① Joseph was sold as a slave by his own brothers and also was accused falsely and put into jail

② But God used his suffering and he became the second strongest man in charge of Egypt

(イ) And Peter concludes by praising God for his wonderful, great works that he is working in each one’s lives.

V. Conclusion

(ア) Peter stated for us to be humble, to be sober and vigilant, and to be steadfast.

① We show our humility by casting all our cares to God

② There is a necessity to be sober and vigilant because Satan walks like a roaring lion, speaking deceptions and lies

③ And because there is the possibility for us to fall into the deception of Satan, we need to continue to resist the devil and be steadfast in our faith

(イ) And all of this suffering is not in vain

① God will use our suffering to perfect us, establish us, strengthen us, and settle us.

(ウ) And as we can see in the life of Elijah and Joseph, we can trust God to be faithful all the time.

① And I know that I tend to forget his faithfulness, but God is still faithful no matter what happens.

Hanging with Tim

Tim is a very good friend of mine and I have known him for a good seven years. I met him when I was in High school, New Life Academy.

Right now Tim is attending University of Arizona. He comes back to Okinawa during his summer and winter break. He was here in Okinawa for a good two months, and actually he goes back to Arizona today.

So yesterday I was blessed to have a time to hang out with his whole family, and later his church friends.

We went for a drive to Ikei Island, but we did not go swimming. Afterwards we went to Taiyou Golf club, for dinner.

CCO VBS

At CCO (calvary chapel Okinawa) they had a VBS (vacation Bible School). The team of the VBS was "Inside-out and Upside-down". It talked about the view of the world versus the view of God, or in another word what the world would think, Jesus teaches us differently.

The VBS was for five days and I was able to be involved for the whole five days of it.

But for me, I was the big guy. The reason being is that I was in charge of the teaching time to the Japanese kids. It was fun and all, teaching the kids, but at the same time tiring.

The teaching was on "Gratitude", "Compassion", "Forgiveness", "Grace", and "Faithfulness".

the world will tell you to "complain", but Jesus teaches us to have a "thankful heart"

the world will tell you to "be angry to another person", but Jesus teaches us to forgive others.

the world will tell you to "be selfish/ only think about yourself", but Jesus teaches us to use what we have for God.

It really was a fruitful event (at least for me).

It was a Matsuri (Japanese Festival) at Urasoe City on July 23.

Me, Jon, and Josh went to the Matsuri little bit earlier than the rest of the gang.

今帰仁 (nakijin) Youth Camp

Well, me, Josh, Keegan, Tamiko, Rie, Michal, and Zach was able to go to the Youth camp that was held at Nakijin.

I met a great number of new friends there and had a blast time. It was just awesome to see how God was working in the hearts of the youths who came to that camp.

the camp was from Saturday through Tuesday, but it went by fast! I wish that it would have been longer cause it was just a great time of fellowship and encouragement.

Also there was a teen talent show that they did for the youth. I didn't know that it was only for the "youth", but me and Josh participated in it.

Me and Josh singed "shima-uta" (Island song) by The Boom on a guitar, in English and Japanese.

All of the people I met over there, including the helpers and the mentors, made that four days count!

God is good, and He is faithful!!!

On Thursday me, Ryouhei, and Tim went for a drive. We didn't have any plans on going anywhere, so we just ended up driving to different places in Okinawa. We went for a drive because it was Ryouhei's last day before he went up to Aichi Prefecture. He is going there for a job and will be coming back around January.

my best friends birthday week

it was a blessing to be part of Josh's twenty year old birthday here at Okinawa. He is a blessing for me and a very good friend whom I'm proud to say that he is my best friend.

well to start off his birthday week, on Tuesday one of the church member took me and Josh and another person to karaoke. It was suppose to be a graduation celebration, but the timing went off, so we just celebrated it as his graduation celebration and birthday celebration. It was a six hour karaoke, it was fun!

Then on Friday youth, the youth leaders bought him a cake and had a little celebration for him, by eating cake!

then on Saturday his grandparents took him out (with me too) to karaoke. But it was not for singing but for eating! haha, that was an interesting day. And singing and eating, we stayed there for about four hours.

Awesome present from above is that Josh got a job on base, and with that he will be able to support himself while he stays here in Okinawa.

Sadly to say, I am half happy and sad at the same time for him getting a job. He moved out from the d-house (the dormitory) and moved in to his grandparents house. He will not be here at the cafe as much, and I will miss him. But good thing is that he have Saturdays and Sundays off. So I will be able to spend time with him on Saturdays, if possible.

But happy birthday Josh! May God continue to bless you beyond your expectation! Be lead by the Spirit and keep on doing the good work for His glory!

summer break

I guess you can call it a summer break...But right now, everyone is taking the time off from school and enjoying their time. This will be my last summer for a long time in Okinawa as I am getting ready to go to main land Japan with Zach in August to start the Bible College in Tokyo. It will be a exciting time for me. But one thing that I want to do while I am here in Okinawa is to spend time with my friends and make the best time of it.

Great thing is that my two friends will be coming to Okinawa for a short time, but I get to spend time with them. One of the friend is a friend from Jr. High (from California), and his grandmother lives here in Okinawa. So he will be staying in Oki for about a month.

The other friend is a good friend of mine whom I met at High school in Okinawa. He was away in Arizona for the college, but back right now during the break.

I am looking forward for the things that God has stored for me this summer. And my desire is just to be lead by His Spirit. Cause I know that the flesh and Satan will try to bring some kind of quarrel between my friends. So I want to stand firm on the foundation of the Lord, so when those times do come, I will not be shaken.

people are gone, and not much to do here at the cafe. But there is still some spiritual warfare. It seems like I have been fighting with myself spiritually in my heart. So I went down to the sanctuary and pray to God.

and God spoke to me, and this is what He said.

Me: "What is my desire?"

God: "Do you want me?"

Me: "Yes, I want You."

God: "Than accept Me."

Me: "How do I accept You?"

God: "Do you believe in Me?"

Me: "Yes, I believe in You."

God: "Than trust me also."

Me: "Am I not trusting You?"

God: "If you are, than don't worry what's going to happen. Trust in Me that I will take care of You. Believe in Me, and accept Me."

Sometimes, the desire of my heart can be something material. But God just told me that if I really do believe in Him, than I would trust/rely on Him, that He will take care of me, so I have nothing to worry about.

My prayer is that my desire would be God's desire.

Josh, Jonathan, and Anna's graduation

Well the Bible College has ended now, but this semester my best friend Josh graduated from the Bible College, along with my new best friend Jonathan Piper, and a good friend from Germany, Anna Hebel!

I am so proud of these three for graduating and am happy that I was able to attend their graduation ceremony.

Josh and Anna came to the Okinawa campus two years ago (the summer of 2009). For Josh, I think it was difficult for him to keep up with homework, quizzes, and tests, but God gave him the strength to finish this year. For Anna, her first language is German, so to come to a campus where its Japanese and English, I think that might have been the toughest for her. But God continue to protect her and she was able to finish!

Now, this semester was my first time meeting with Jon (Jonathan Piper). At first I was afraid just to talk with him for some reason, but throughout the semester I was able to get to know him. He too had some conflicts with his classes and work, but as he was just being obedient towards God, he too was able to finish!

I am so proud of all three of them! And for those who are reading this blog, please pray for them that God will give them a vision and a guidance to the next step of faith that they will be taking.

I know that Anna and Josh, most likely, serving here at the Okinawa campus.

For Jon, he is thinking of coming back to Japan to serve, but still not quite sure.

I love you all, and Praise God for His awesome work that He has completed in you guys!

Remember to be obedient in the next work that He will be starting in your life!

Troubled Heart

These days my heart is not in a good condition. It's not like I have illness or a heart disease, but what I mean by not in a good condition is that it's unstable.

How you might ask, and I shall give you the answer.

Well, you see, I'm really a stubborn, selfish person. And when something occurs (like in this situation that I am in right now), my heart starts to be tossed back and forth, like a ship in middle of a storm.

The trials of life comes in, and I tend to give in, and you can say that I drown in the sea.

But the encouraging thing is that God is there. Even in the Bible, it says "do not be worried." God would not tell you so, if you weren't. But it's difficult not to be worried.

From what I think, God does not expect us not to worry...This is because, if we were not worried, and life seems to be going okay, how will God than help you or comfort you?

I think the key is "reliance." God is telling me that when I am worried, I need to rely on God's comfort, not the comforts of this world. It is very easy to get comforted by the things we see and able to get right there and than. But God wants to comfort me, and you (to those who are reading this blog post). But I can't see God in a physical form, or able to hear what God is saying through my ear.

That's where "Faith" comes in. Faith is believing in the things unseen. God is not able to be seen. And even if we are able to see God, we would die (for the Bible tells me so). God wants us to rely on Him, on His strength and power.

When I come to realize in that face, that troubled heart disappear and I have peace in my heart. why? Because God is working in my heart. This I know for sure.

So an encouragement to those who are reading this blog....

If you are going through the same experience as me, which is having a troubled heart, think back and realize that God wants to comfort you. And when you accept that truly from your heart, God gives you a peace in your heart, calming that storm. But be warned, if you accept it, than don't look back. Looking back will only turn you into a pillar of salt.

Week trip to Main Land

Well, I had a privilege to go to Tokyo with Pastor Tommy Ruiz. One of the reasons that we went up to Tokyo was to attend the annual Calvary Chapel Conference. And this year it was held at Kokubunji. This conference was held on Friday and Saturday(4/29-4/30). Anther reason for this trip was for the Worship Conference that Pastor Tommy hosted at Maranatha Grace Fellowship in Nagano Perfecture. (This is Aya Nakamura's home church, one of the Bible College students here at the Bible College) It was a blessing time there. We were able to encourage the Body there at Nagano, and I had the opportunity to help with the children's ministry there. There was four children, which three of them happened to be Aya's Nieces

The Worship Conference at Nagano was only for two days (Tuesday and Wednesday night), so it was short. However, what touched my heart was that Hikari actually cried on Wednesday night because I was leaving the next day. Even though I only hang around with the girls for three hours, God somehow used me to touch the heart of the children. It was heart-touching.

On Thursday, we headed back to Tokyo. It was a long trip there but it was amazing time. On the way back through the Highway, we were able to see Mt. Fuji! I was not able to take a good picture but you can see the picture which Pastor Tommy took on e3missions!

Than Friday! the first day of conference. At the conference I was able to meet with my old and good friend Rusty and Amber Spearmans! I have not seen them for over two years, so it was awesome to see the two of them, and to the addition of the family, their daughter Adelle! I also saw Yasutomo, Jiai, Christina, Michael Snider, Pastor Kiyomasa, Pastor Rich Rose, Pastor Travis, Pastor Santou, and many others. It was great seeing them doing so well!

So the same thing happens on Saturday, but with a little disappointment. The place where the conference was held, there was a time limit of how long we can stay in. And due to having no time, the last speaker had to cut off his message short, and I was left hanging. Also we took communion, but with a rush. All of the messages that the speakers shared was amazing, but because of the time limit, we had to go.

Interestingly, on Saturday night, after the conference, I went to Tatsuhiko's house to spend the night. This was because Pastor Santou invited me to his church on Sunday, and it was best for me to stay at their house for a night. So, at the conference, I met with Tatsuhiko's younger brother, Toshiya, and he took me to his house. Tatsuhiko's family are really nice people, and they all like sports.

And on Sunday, I went to Pastor Santou's church, Calvary Chapel West Tokyo! It was very amazing, and also it was my first time attending a Japanese church. But like Calvary Ginowan, there was a guest speaker there, so it was translated. (Pastor Santou translated it to Japanese). I attended the first service and on the second service I went to help with the children's ministry. Pastor Santou's son, Yuki taught the children, and Yoshiya, who is the oldest son of Pastor Santou, was also there helping. It was a blessing time there.

But not only that, I was able to meet up with Sho, who came and attended the S.O.S (summer of service) program last year in Okinawa. He does not go to Pastor Santou's church. But his father is a Pastor and their church is like 30 meters away from Calvary West Tokyo!! It was a blessed time to see him once more, and spent time together with him.

And on Sunday night, mostly everyone went to Pastor Rich's church in Fuchu, for the church dedication. That was amazing! I had a great fellowship time at Calvary Fuchu.

this is a short summary of the trip. There is more to tell, but it might take weeks to tell all of it!!!

But from this trip, God spoke to me about life of prayer. I was able to see that there is a body of Christ (brothers and sisters) who needs to be encouraged. Even though I am not able to be there physically, God showed me that I can pray for them. I do not have a strong prayer life, but this semester here at the Bible college, it looks like God is speaking to me about prayer. So like Jesus, I want to become a man of prayer! It's difficult, but it is not by my strength but by God's!!

What is TRUE love?

These days I'm going through a lots of ups and downs in my life (roller coaster ride!). The problems is with myself, family, and also friends, but mostly it's the struggle within myself. Well, to keep it short is that I'm being attacked by fear. Fear of losing, as you can say.

And as I was talking with my best friend, Josh. And as I was talking to him, God, I don't know how, used me to remind Josh about trusting in Him. As we ended our conversation for the night, I sought after God about the problems that I was going through within myself, seeking help. And God showed me this verse:

1 Corinthians 13, but focusing on verses 4 through 8a

"Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil: does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails..." (NKJV)

I knew what Love was, but I was not showing that TRUE love of God. I envied, acted rudely, sought my own desires, and did not rejoice in the truth. The love that I had was doing it, or trying to keep it, by my own strength. I had no trust in God. I had no hope.

But as we can see in the Scripture, God's love never fails.

"Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God: and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. he who does not love does not know God, for God is love. In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that god has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation of our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another." (1 John 4:7-11) NKJV

True love is from God, and only by the strength of God can we love one another. I couldn't do it with my strength. My love was selfish, you could say in most parts. But what's great about it is that God is still changing me to the person whom He wants me to be.

So as an encouragement is that let God help you with every situation that He has allowed it to happen, instead of being bitter about it and trying to avoid it. Because I was doing that, and I have fallen.

Love can over come anything.

Softbank Commercials

In Japan there is a cell-phone company by the name of "softbank". And I really like the commercials that they put up, mainly because of "Otousan", which is the white dog. Well, to explain, the commercial is based upon a family. There is a Japanese Mom, and a Father who is a dog, and the oldest son who is African-American, and a younger daughter who is Japanese. And the whole story plot is funny to me. Haha

Tonaki Island

Well, the Bible College Students and the youth were able to go to one of the island close to Okinawa called, Tonaki Island. We went over there for a Youth retreat for four days and three nights. The theme for the Retreat was "Search my Heart", out from Psalm 139. It was a blessed time as everyone who attended the retreat were able to hear from the Lord.

For me it was a huge blessing as my friends (who were the youths) were able to have more of the idea about having relationship with God. I was able to talk with the two of my friends concerning their life. One of the two shared about how they were struggling with their life with school and work and the future. He shared that he believes in God but doesn't want to accept Him as his Savior yet. But it was nice to see how God was speaking to his heart.

The other one is a Christian, but does not have a strong relationship with the Lord. He really does believe in God, but his idea is that "It's because God, that is normal" mind set. So in short, he accept God for who He is, but does not think deeply into it. But as I was talking to him, he told me that he really does not know why Christians read the Bible. So I had the opportunity to share with him about the importance of reading the Bible, and why it is a special part in the life of a Christian. Not only that, I was able to share about my life little bit more with him.

But I think, in general, that everyone of the people (youth, leaders, and even Bible College students) had a wonderful time just seeing the wonderful creation of the Lord, and how the Holy Spirit moved during those times. In many ways, God touched the heart of the people, through the sessions, afterglow, or even in time of fellowship.

for myself, God spoke to me about the surrendering of my life to Him. And during one of the sessions, I saw God as a doctor.

When we have diseases (sin) in our lives, we get sick and don't feel good. So we go to the doctor (God) and he examines us. After the doctor examines us (search us), he tells us the problem. Afterwards the doctor tells us how to get rid of the problem, and gives us medicine. But it is still up to our choices to accept that medicine, or to listen to the doctor of the solution to fix our sickness.

God leads us in to His everlasting ways, but He can't guide us if we are acting rebellious or stubborn. Once we let go of our pride and let God lead us, we are than able to walk in that everlasting way.

God is good, and I want my life to be lead by the Spirit of God rather than my own flesh.

Depression

I was asked by my good friend, "What Satan get you 'down' with, and how do you usually turn back to God?" and as I was replying to him, I thought, "It would be good to post it up on my blog too, to encourage those who are reading." So this post is the answer to that question.

Before I was saved, I got "hooked on" to pornography. I stumbled upon it by accident. But due to that incident, I got curious about it and started to look up on it. And even though after I receive Jesus as my personal Savior, I still had the problem with it.

I am not proud of it. But most of the time when I get "down" is because of pornography (not necessary just that). Satan will come towards me and wave that "bait" into my face, and losing to temptation, I bite into it. And after I notice what I have done, my heart starts to sink. And here come Satan, whispering into my ear, "See, you fell for my trap again. God didn't really save you. You're no good. You fall and get up, and fall and get up, same thing over and over. You're an annoyance to God. He's (God) is angry with you for falling again."

And those thoughts just keep on coming and than I start to think, "He's (Satan) right. I'm annoying God. I'm a pain in the butt to Him."

"God, I'm annoying you. So why don't you just take my life away, and be done with? I'm not important. Just end it!"

When I'm down, Satan comes and accuses me, and my flesh comes and tell me to give up.

But God comes in and speaks to my heart, "It's okay, I'm right here beside you. I want to help you when you fall down. It's no big deal. Don't give up, I have a plan ahead of you. Keep on enduring it, for the way will get difficult. I love you, and I don't want to lose you."

God encourages me.

I'm not perfect, and I stumble. I get 'down' easy, and want to give up. But you know what, God does not want me to give up. He has a greater plan ahead of my life.

But I can't do it alone, for Satan will keep on coming back, using the same old trick. But since God saved me, and guided me to Bible College, one thing that I learned the most is the discerning of God's voice. How? By having a morning devotion. God speaks to me through His word (Bible), but also directly into my heart, and through others. If I was not able to discern God's voice through these difficult times, I probably would not be here updating this blog (or even alive). God is gracious and merciful. His love is abundant.

And to those who are reading this post, I would like to encourage you guys too that God encourages and not discourages. He wants you to come back into His loving arms, not away from it. But the road is tough, and you might stumble. But remember, God is always there beside you, lending his hands so you can get back up.

But it is still up to you to accept His loving help, or be prideful and get up yourself.

Rob and Rika's wedding (part 2)

Rob and Rika's wedding (part 1)

Yesterday was Rob and Rika's wedding. I have known Rob for about three years or so, and it was just amazing to see God bring a wonderful lady into his life, Rika.

I first met Rob at my school (New Life Academy), where he taught the Bible during chapel time. Than after a while he was the substitute teacher for the teachers, and also a BASEBALL PLAYER.

He first joined a team called "Samurai Naha", but the team just suddenly split due to the coach going to Taiwan. From there he still pursued after playing baseball in Okinawa and thus joined a team "Aniya". However, this team also did not last long, so I helped Rob searched for a different team, and this team was called "Tele-Clinic". However, due to the contract that Rob signed with "Samurai Naha", he was not able to play for that team, unless he got out of it.

So Rob had to track down the team captain of "Samurai Naha", and get his approval of resigning from the team, before he could join "Tele-Clinic". And through God's grace, he was able to get off from the team to join with "Tele-Clinic". But God has something more planned for him. And that plan was for Rob to join the team in Wakayama Prefecture, "Kishuu Rangers".

So me and Rob went up to Wakayama for the trial, if he could join or not. (I went as a translator) And it was during January of 2009! And he was able to join with the team! But sadly, Rob had to move to Wakayama...But God is good, he came back to Okinawa, but because he was kicked out from the team...But the only reason that God allowed Rob to be kicked out from the "Kishuu Rangers", was for him to join the best team in Okinawa, "Enagic"!

So from up to that point, where Rob joined with "Aniya" to "Enagic", I have been like his "manager".

My Testimony

I was born in November 20, 1989 in Ishigaki Island (tiny island south of Okinawa). However, when I was three years old, my father and mother divorced, and my mother took me and my older sister. Due to the divorce, we moved to Okinawa, which where my mom was originally from.

When I was about nine years old, my mom started to date a military man who was stationed in Okinawa. One day, my mom told us that she was going to the states with her boyfriend (the military man), and she would be back in about a month or so. So during that time me and my older sister lived with my grandmother.

But when my mother came back from the states, she told us that she got married with the military man, and that we would have to move to the states with her, or go back to live with my father who was still living in Ishigaki Island. So we ended up moving to the states, and this happened when I was in the third grade.

Every thing changed for me when I moved to the states: languages, culture, friends, etc. It was difficult at first for the change, but I enjoyed my time.

Since there was no Japanese school that I could go, I was "forced" to enter into a public elementary school, starting from the third grade. My classmates were very friendly, and the teachers were very patient with me. I attended my third grade and fourth grade at Bobier elementary school (which is located in California, maybe in San Diego area?). But because of my step-dad's job, we needed to move to a different location, so I attended my fifth grade at a different school. Than for my sixth grade, once again we needed to move, and we moved to 29 Palms. In 29 Palms, I attended sixth through eighth grade.

Going back a little bit, when I was in third grade, my mother did not want me and my older sister to forget Japanese, so she hired a Japanese college student to teach us Japanese. And this Japanese college student came and taught us Japanese from the Bible. This was my first encounter with the Bible. First of all, she started from the book of Genesis. Back than, I thought the stories that she was teaching us from was just a fictional story, but now I know that it is true. But because she was a college student, she needed to go back and finish her classes, so it did not last long.

And when we moved to 29 Palms, my step-dad had a friend who attended church. I think it was during an Easter that my step-dad's friend invited us to the church. My mom did not approve of going to church, but my step-dad told her that this is the first and the last time that we would go to the church, just to see how it's like. So we went to the church that following Sunday. This was my first encounter with the church, and from what I remember and the impression that I got was that there was a lot of African-Americans there, and they sing passionately. I did not fully understand the "church thing" so me and my sister just sat with my mom and step-dad in the service.

Now during my end of my Jr. High, something happened to my family. I do not know the exact detail, but it happened between my older sister and my step-dad. Due to the incident, we moved back to Okinawa in the summer of 2004.

Upon coming back to Okinawa, I was unable to attend Japanese public school because the level of writing and reading and understanding Japanese was low. So my mother put me into a International school, where I could learn more of English rather than Japanese (for she did not want me to forget English). So I ended up going to New Life Academy. New Life Academy is a Christian International school, and because of that I was exposed to the Bible. But I did not believe in what the Bible have to say, but I only studied through it for the grade.

At New Life Academy, I met my best friend, Timothy Musashi Stafford. We became good and close friends (one reason is that there was few students at the school, when I first met Timothy including myself and Timothy, there was only 5 guys and 7 girls). And Timothy was a Christian. He invited me if I wanted to come to his church and hang with him on Sunday. I said yes, only to hang with him. I was not interested in church at that time. Timothy kept on inviting me to his church and I went with him 80% of the time. But I was not saved.

During my senior year in High school, during chapel time, the Calvary Chapel Bible College students came to teach. And one day they opened up a Wednesday after-school Youth club at the school. And because Timothy went, I went along with him to the club. Because it was my senior year, I was planning to go to the University of Western Australia to study zoology. And as I went to the Wednesday after-school program, I met an Australian. His name is Thomas Edward John Cotton. And because he was an Australian, I became friend with him.

After I graduated from High school, I was unable to attend the University. This was because I was too late to turn in my application. So I had to wait about half a year in order to go. While I was not doing anything during that time, I started to work part time job to earn money. At the same time, Tom (Thomas's nickname) asked me if I would like to teach Japanese to him. I said sure, and in return Tom taught me how to play the guitar. (I kinda knew how to play the guitar, because Timothy taught me little bit of it during high school, but I wanted to improve on playing).

So as I taught Tom Japanese, I also started to attend the youth group at Calvary Chapel Ginowan and also their Sunday services. (again, to hang with Tom, did not go to seek God). But one day I asked Tom about faith, God, and other things. And Tom told me to read 1 John in the Bible for the answer. At the end of the day, as I went back to my house, I did not have any intention of reading the Bible. However, there was nothing good on T.V. and playing video game was not fun at the time, so I literally had nothing to do. So I ended up reading the Bible. (Praise the Lord!).

In 1 John, I read about the love of God, and it spoke to my heart. And upon finish reading 1 John, I prayed to God to save me. (I also was embarrassed to go to the church and announce that I was saved too, so I prayed at the house). And from that day on, God has been working on my heart. That was June of 2008.

In August, Pastor Tommy asked me if I would like to attend Bible college part time, because I still had three to four month left before I go to Australia. So I asked my mom about attending it, and she did not care about it much if I attended or not. So, I decided to attend.

It was a big change for me to attend the Bible College here in Okinawa, surrounded by many foreigners, but God was with me the whole time. and through God's grace, I was able to finish all four semester of Bible college and graduate.

I met many people, and looking back, I see the hand of God moving in my life. I don't know what God has stored in for me next, but I know that God will carry me.

The only thing that I am still learning from him is faith, to take the step of faith for him and not fearing what will be there in the future. All I need is just to be obedient.

Busy

Well, this semester of Bible College (Spring Semester of 2011), I'm teaching the Gospel of Luke, only in Japanese. This class has been awesome as God is teaching me new thing from His word and seeing the students growing in my class.

And God has given me another opportunity to take over Rob's Japanese class for a short term, while he gets ready for the wedding (which is tomorrow!), and I also am teaching Asa (Pastor Tommy's youngest son) Kanji (1st through 3rd grade) and math (multiplication, division, and word problems). And I also work part time at a pizza parlor Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday nights.

It sounds like I have a lot to do, but God is gracious and has given me time to study. So again, it looks like a lot, but it's all in God's hand.

So as I was faithful in the small things, God has entrusted me with greater things.

Earthquakes and Tsunami

Well, there has been a big earthquake and tsunami that happened in main land area (Japan). There are still some aftershocks and many deaths are being confirmed. Also there are people who are still missing, and there are rescue people who has been sent.

So if you are reading this blog, please pray for Japan. That the rescuers will find the people who might be under some rubbles, and that the people who are needing help would get it. And through all of this that God's name will be glorified. I know it might sound difficult to praise God when all of this misery is happening, but it is all in God's hand, in His control.

God's mercy is still being poured out to us, but the important thing that we can do is to tell the people of the end days. The incident that is happening right now, it is nothing compare to the things that will occur in the last days.

But please pray for the salvation of the Japanese people, and for the people who are there helping out.

First of all...

Well, to get started on this blog posting...I graduated Bible College in May of 2010, just last year. I was blessed to go to Murrietta (the main campus, located in California) and attend the graduation ceremony.

God have been doing a faithful work in my life throughout the whole four semester here in Okinawa. Even though, I was scared to step out in faith to go to the main campus, God still used me here in Okinawa.

After I graduated, I was blessed to have the opportunity to teach the Gospel of Mark the semester after I graduated here in Okinawa campus, all in Japanese. It was my first time teaching (without the translation), and it was a huge step for me.

And after a that semester, right now, the spring semester of 2011, I am currently teaching the Gospel of Luke all in Japanese again. It is a blessing to study through it, and also to teach it at the same time.

There are still struggles in my life (mostly depression...), but God has blessed me with great friends and family in Christ.

I am still studying, and want to keep on going for the Lord. And if you are reading this, please pray for me, for guidance.

But for now, that is about it, and I will try to continue to update it as much as possible (AMAP?).

Aogu and Rin are twins, and they turned eleven years old on February 13th, their Birthday! But due to school on Friday, we celebrated their birthday on the 14th (Which was on Valentine's day). We went to the park and held a great birthday celebration afterwards.

The Three "Bears"

It was sad to see Sosimo, Daniel, and Rob leave the Island. But they are not leaving Okinwa because they hate it, but to go and minister to other part of the world. As Jesus have commanded all of us to "go", they took their departure to a different location.

Sosimo and Daniel went to Korea and they will be training and ministering to the people. Rob went to mainland Japan, Wakayama. Rob, not only went to minister to the mainland people, but also he went there to play baseball (His dream). By the grace of God, he was able to join in the team in Wakayama, which is one of the small team of the Kansai Independant Baseball League.

Today I had the opportunity to go to one of the university in Okinawa, Ryukyu Daigaku (also known as RyuDai) for English class call MELT. MELT stands for My English Lunch Time, and the students who attends RyuDai comes to the classroom while eating lunch. And at the same time that they eat lunch, they have the opportunity to learn english.

Normally, Tim Newell is the person who teaches, but due to the recording of the Hakugaijin CD, he was unable to teach. So taking his place, Roy Toma taught english to the students. It was fun.

Nature in Okinawa

There are great natures that you can see and feel, here in Okinawa. I like to take pictures, but not of people, but of nature. I think that I have some good skills at taking photos, but I would let you guys decide. （　ーωー）b

Oh...also right now it's the cherryblossom season here in Okinawa. It's quiet fast than the main land Japan, due to the difference in the weather.

English Students

Right now I teach English, every Saturday noon, to two Japanese children, Rin and Aogu Nakaza. They are the kids of Reiko-san, who comes to Calvary Chapel Ginowan. I met the two when I was helping the teacher in the Sunday School translating. They were both shy at first, but now we are close friends.

And I also teach English to Reiko-san, and what do you know, I teach her whole family! What a blessing! After class, we go to the park and hang around most of the time.
