VBS (Vacation Bible School)

From August 14th & 15th, at CCFuchu we had our VBS. But this time the VBS was a little bit different in a way that we had a sleepover as an addition to it. The first day we planned to go to the pool, but the weather was rainy. But Pastor Rich stepped out in faith and said that we were still going to the pool, and if the weather gets worse once we get there we would head back, but God is able to do anything, so let's just go! and we did. And God was good, that He held back the rain, and we were able to take the kids to the pool and have an awesome time with them. Pastor Rich shared about the story of Noah, and personally, I think it was a fitting story for this VBS.

8月14日と15日、VBSがありました。今年のVBSはいつもと違ってお泊り会も含めました。最初の日はみんなで総合プールに行くことになっていましたけれど、天気はなんと雨！多くの人々から「まだプールには行くんですか？」と言う電話が鳴っていたけれど、リッチ牧師は予定通りまだプールに行く、でもプールついて雨が激しくなれば教会に戻ると言い信仰の一歩を踏み出しました。するとどうでしょう！神様は良き方で雨を止めてくれました！総合プールで子供達は楽しいときを持ち、また聖書のノアの話を聞いて祝福な時間を持てました。個人的に今回のノアの話は今年のVBSに当てはまっていると思っています。

After we came back from the pool, we went back to the church and the kids who were staying for the sleepover got ready for shower and dinner. After everyone was settled and was ready for bed, we watched Hoodwinked.

プールから戻り、教会に戻ったとき、お泊りする子供達は残り、シャーワを浴び、夕食の準備をしました。みんなが寝る準備をした後、みんなでHoodwinkedと言う映画を見ました。

The next morning, we went to Hamura Zoo. The weather was still cloudy and looked like it was going to rain, but once again we stepped out in faith and went to the zoo. And by God's grace, it did not rain at all, but it cleared up!! We had a great time just being able to share more about God's faithfulness to the kids through the story of Noah, and just being able to spend the day with them. God bless.

次の日は羽村動物園に行きました。しかし、天気はまだ曇っていて、雨も少し降っていました。しかし、また信仰の一歩を取り、動物園に向かいました。すると神の恵みのゆえに雨は降らず、逆に晴れました！またノアの話をし、神様の忠実さのことを子供達に語るときを持てて、すばらしい時をもてました。また、ただ、子供達とプールや動物園に一緒に行き、時間を過ごせたことが私にとっての祝福でした。神様に祝福あれ！

琉神マブヤーinよみうりランド！！

Saturday the 28th, I was blessed to go to Yomiuri Land, an amusement park, with Yuichi and Mari! It was my first time there, and I really had a great time. But why did I go there? To see Ryujin Mabuyer!! Ryujin Mabuyer is a Okinawa Superhero, who is like a Kamen Rider, but talk in Okinawan dialect. It was soooo funny, and I really enjoyed just watching it. Yuichi and Mari also said that it was funny, but I think they had more fun just being able to have fun at the amusement park, getting on rides and stuff. It was fun.

２８日の土曜日、ゆういち君とまりちゃんと一緒によみうりランド、遊園地、に行きました。初めて行ったので、とても楽しい時間を過ごせました。でもなぜそこに行ったのか？それは琉神マブヤーを見に行ったのです！琉神マブヤーとはウチナーグチでしゃべる沖縄の仮面ライダーみたいなスーパーヒーローです。でーじおもしろかった！ただ見てるだけで一日が楽しめました。またゆういち君もまりちゃんもおもしろかったと言っていました。でもただ乗り物に乗れたことが彼らにとって一番楽しかったと思います（笑）。

Hanging with my mom

My mom came out to Tokyo to go to a concert at Yokohama. So the next day, we planned to spend the day together before she heads back to Okinawa. So I went to meet her on Thursday, the 26th, at Shin-Yokohama station. But right as soon as I arrived there and met my mom, we left Yokohama and head straight to Shin-Ookubo, where Korean town is located. She looked around, and I followed. Personally, I didn't enjoy looking at Korean stuff, just because I'm not interested in it. But I had fun just being able to spend time with my mom. She bought some souvenirs here and there, and ate Korean food for lunch. It was good. Afterwards, we came back and spend time at Fuchu station, again, buying some souvenirs, and ate dinner. It was a good time, and I'm looking forward to seeing her again soon!!

横浜でコンサートがあったので、お母さんが東京に遊びに来ました。沖縄に帰る前に、一日一緒に時間を過ごすことにしました。そこで、２６日の木曜日、新横浜駅にお母さんに会いに行きました。が、着いた途端、横浜では何もせず、新大久保駅にへ出かけました。そこには韓国町があり、お母さんにただ着いていきました。個人的には、あんまし韓国興味なかったので楽しいとはいえなかったけれど、ただお母さんといるだけで楽しかったです。あちら、こちらで土産を買い、昼ごはんは韓国料理を食べました。その後、一旦家に戻り、府中駅に遊びに行きました。そこでもみやげ物ショッピングをしました。楽しい時間を過ごし、また家族に会いに行くのが待ち望ましいです。

CPR & AED & First Aid Training

Today me, Josh, and Bryan went on Yokota base to get trained for CPR/AED & First Aid training from the American Red Cross. The class was very good, and we had some practice CPR with the manikins, and everyone who was there did a great job! Now I'm certified to save lives, but I pray nothing life threatening will happen at WeGoEigo...I also found Sanpincha at one of the vending machines at the sign in gate, it was good, but kinda weak...but very nostalgic taste!

今日ジョッシュとブライアンと自分は横田基地で心臓停止の蘇生救急と自動体外式徐細動器と応急処置の訓練を受けにアメリカン・レッド・クロスに訪れました。授業はとても良く、マネキンでそのＣＰＲ（心臓停止の蘇生救急）を練習したり、色々と学びました。で！その人の命を守る資格を手に入れました！緊張するけれど、嬉しい！でも、WeGoEigoで命に関わることがおきないよう祈っています。それに加え、横田基地の自動販売機でさんぴん茶ゲットしました！味は懐かしい味でしたけれど、ちょっと弱かった…かな？

Goya Champuru

I made Goya Champuru on Friday and took it to the Friday night Bible study. I was planning to make it Thursday night for dinner, but I didn't have time, so I was like, lets just take it to church! Now, when I make food, I like to hear the response of the people who eats it. And when I made it, I tasted it, and it was DELICIOUS!! so when I took it to the Bible study, I told the people, before they ate it, that this goya champuru is delicious so make sure you eat it. haha. But I got a good response from the people who ate it, and the suprising thing is that Rich also ate it (well I told him to eat it so I can take a picture for the blog, haha). But overall it was a delicious dinner!!

金曜日にゴーヤーチャンプルーを作りました。木曜日の夕飯に作ろうと思ったけれど、忙しかったので、金曜日のバイブルスタディーに持っていくことに決めました。俺が料理するとき、食べてくれる人の応答を聞くのが好きです。今回のゴーヤーちゃんプルを作って味見したら、なんとでーじまーさん！それで、バイブルスタディーに持っていったとき、美味しいから食べてよ！とみんなに伝えました（笑）。食べてくれた人から良い応答が帰ってきて嬉しかったです。驚くべきリッチがゴーヤーチャンプルーを食べてくれました！（ってか、俺がブログにのせたいから、食べてって頼んだのです…）でも良い夕飯の時を過ごせました！

Sunshine City Aquarium

Last week, WeGoEigo took the kids on a field trip, and the destination was Sunshine city Aquarium, which is at Ikebukuro. There was a lot of kids who came on this field trip, but also some of the moms were able to join us too. From what I saw, the kids enjoyed the aquarium, seeing fishes swim and stuff. I was with Ms. Caroline, in charge of the Honu class. And when we first entered into the aquarium, we were lucky enough to see the sea lion show! The only downside about it was that the kids sat in the sunlight without a hat, so we put their towels over their head. But rather than watching the sea lions perform, I think the Honu kids enjoyed watching the Jelly fish, haha. It was a great time, and also a exhausting day! Thank you God for your creation!!

先週WeGoEigoは遠足に行ってきました。何処にって言うと、池袋のサンシャインシティの水族館です！大勢の子供達が遠足に参加してくれた上に、多くのお母さん方も来てくれました。自分から見た限り、子供達は水族館でとても楽しい時間を過ごせたと思います、魚見たり（笑）。俺はキャロライン先生と一緒にホヌ組の子供達の面倒を見ていました。祝福なのは水族館に入った瞬間アシカショーがスタートする5分前に入場したので、アシカショーを見ることが出来ました。残念ながら影がある所に座らず、日差しに当たりながらショーを楽しみました。子供達も帽子を持ってなくて、代わりにタオルを頭にかぶせました。でもアシカショーよりクラゲを見るのがもっと楽しかったようです。楽しいときと同時に疲れた一日でした。神様の創造に感謝！

Surprise present from Yuichi

The other day, Yuichi came up to me out of the blue and said, "Here you go, this is for you." and gave me a plastic bag with something inside. I looked inside the bag and guess what!! Mabuya snack with a flyer telling me that Mabuya is coming to Tokyo at the end of July!! I was so happy and could not resist but to hug Yuichi for the little present that he gave to me. He made my day!

何日前に、ゆういち君がいきなり何か入っている袋を持って、「はい、どうぞ。ときとに。」って渡しに来ました。その袋の中を見ると、なんと！琉神マブヤーのお菓子とあるチラシが入っていたのです！そのチラシによると、マブヤーが東京に来るっていう報告でした！デージやっさ～！もう、デージ嬉しくて、ゆういち君をハグしたさ～！にふぇーでーびる！

Show & Tell

Every month, for a week, at WeGoEigo we have a Show & Tell week. It is a week where the kids can bring something from their house (mostly their toys), and play at the school. But before they are able to play with the toys that they bring, they show it to their classmates and tell something about it (like who give to you? or what it is?). And the link below is a video that I took, of the kids playing with their show and tell toys. Enjoy.

毎月、一週間、WeGoEigoでショー＆テル・ウィークがあります。それは子供達がお家から何か持ってきて（大体彼らのおもちゃ）、学校で遊ぶ一週間です。でも、持ってきたおもちゃで遊べる前、他の子供達にそのおもちゃについて語らなければいけません（たとえば、誰からもらった？このおもちゃは何？）。下のリンクは子供達がショー＆テルに持ってきたものと遊んでいるビデオです。
