内地にも置いてくれれば、馬鹿売りすると思うのに…でも、沖縄に帰ってきたときの些細な幸せでもある、とても美味しいアイス！

If only they sell these in main land, they would be a big hit...But it is a small happiness for me during the time I come back to Okinawa. Very tasty ice creams!!

台風の後

Sunday and Monday was when the big typhoon hit Okinawa, and when we were stuck in the house for two straight days. Even though we came to the church on Monday night for Orientation for the Bible College, I felt like I needed to go out and stretch my feet out. So on Tuesday, me and my friend, Ryouhei, rented a car and went to different islands on Okinawa. First we went to Kouri Island and swam a little bit a the beach, and afterwards we went to Ikei Island and did more swimming. It was just a blessed day to hang with Ryouhei and able to go swimming, because the last time I was not able to go. But the weather on Tuesday was also not nice, it was cloudy and rainny, and also sunny here and there. But the blessing thing was that when we got to the beaches, God gave me a sunny weather and I was able to swim. Thank you God!!

日曜日と月曜日に大きい台風が沖縄に接近しました。そのため、二日間家に引きこもってました。でも月曜日の夜は神学校のオリエンテーションのため教会に行ったけれど、どこかに行きたかった気分でした。それで、火曜日友達の良平とレンタカーを借り、島巡りに行きました。最初は北部にある古宇利島に行き、中部の東海岸にある伊計島に行き、ドライブで南部にも行きました。その島渡りの中、海にも行けて泳ぐことも出来ました。（前は台風のせいで出来なかった分、楽しみました！）でも天気は曇りで雨降ったり、晴れたりの繰り返しで、最初は泳げるかな？と思い行ってみたけれど、神に祈りつつ、ビーチに着いた瞬間、良い天気で恵まれました。神様に感謝！

Beach day no swimming

Yesterday, me and Aaron biked to the beach. It was a beautiful day, as you can tell it by the picture, but when we got to the beach, they said that we could not go swimming because of the typhoon. It was a bummer, because I was looking forward to go swimming at the beach, and we biked all the way to Tropical beach from the church. But we ended up meeting up with Ryouhei and went to Round 1 and played some arcade games. For lunch we went to McDonald's, because Aaron had coupon which expired yesterday and he wanted to use it. And when we were ordering the food, Aaron never heard of McPork, and I told him that it was delicious and I bought it for Aaron so he can try it. But the funny thing is that he didn't hear me, so he thought that "McPork" was called "McPorky". Anyways...after lunch we biked all the way up hill back to the D-House and went back to the church for a movie night. We watched One Night with the King, a story of Ester. An Adventurous day, it was!!

昨日アーロンと一緒に自転車で海に行きました。しかし、海に着いたらなんと台風の影響で遊水禁止になっていました！（ orz )　それでも良平と会えることが出来、一緒にラウンド１のゲーセンで時間をつぶしました。アーロンが昨日まで有効なクーポンを持っていたので、昼はマックに行きました。注文していたとき、アーロンはマックポークを知らなくて、自分は美味しいよと言い、彼に買ってあげました。しかし、聞き間違いで彼は「マックポーク」のことを「マックポーキー」と呼びました。帰りは自転車で上がり坂を上りながら帰り、教会に戻り映画を見ました。映画はエステルの話のOne Night with the King って言う映画を見ました。とても冒険的な一日でした。

An Exciting Day Before the Typhoon

Today was an interesting day. It started off with the Men's breakfast at the church, followed by studying for tomorrow's message (which is put off because of the typhoon, no church), and a day spending time with three students at Mihama, and hanging out with Aogu at the end of the day. I think the most blessing thing that happened today is that I was able to meet up with Aogu. We already were going to hang out today, but because of the typhoon we put it off to another day, but when I went to Mihama with the students, and I stayed back at Mihama (because I was going to babysit my sister, but ended up not because she had a stomachache). But because I stayed back, out of nowhere, he showed up in front of me, and decided to spend the rest of the day with me! So, we went out buying souveniers for the Tokyo gang, followed by a delicious dinner at Tony Roma's (my old work place), and ended the day by watching the Avengers at the movie theater. It was a great time of fellowship, and I am looking forward to the next day when typhoon is going to hit.

今日はとても面白い一日でした。まず最初に教会で男性の朝食会があり、その後メッセージの通訳の勉強をし（でも台風の影響で礼拝はキャンセルになりました。）、生徒三名を美浜に連れて行き、美浜に残ったら仰と一日を終わらせた感じな日でした。今日一日の祝福はなんでしたか？と聞かれれば、仰と会えたことです。最初から彼と会う約束をしていたけれど、台風だったから今度会おうとなったんだけど、妹を子守すると言うことで美浜に残り（しかし、妹は体調を崩し子守はキャンセルになりました。）、偶然仰と会えたのです。仰は友達と遊んでいたけれど、俺と遊ぶといい、一緒に夜を過ごしました。東京のみんなのお土産の買い物に付き合ってくれて、前の職場のトニーローマーで夕ご飯を済ませ、最後は映画館で「アベンジャーズ」を見ました。とても楽しい交わりの時でした。台風が来る次の日が楽しみです。

A day with Aaron B.

Aaron wanted to go to a rock climbing gym, and I had the opportunity yesterday to take him. We went there after lunch, and Andrew and Kayo gave us a ride to Makiminato, where the gym was located. However, before going there, I looked up online to see where it was, but when we got there, we got lost. We walked there for about thirty minutes, but finally was able to find our way to the gym. Aaron had a great time rock climbing, as you can tell from the pictures. Afterwards, we went out for dinner, it was a blessing being able to hang out with a cool cat like Aaron!

初めてアーロンと会った時、彼は「ロッククライミングに行きたい！」と俺に言いました。それで昨日彼を沖縄にあるロッククライミングジムに連れて行きました。昼食を済ませた後、アンドリューと香代が牧港まで送ってくれました。しかし、ついた途端、ジムが何処にあるか分からず、30分ほどさまよっていました。行く前にネットで調べたんですけれど、なんと実際はもっと置く側にあったということが判明しました。でも、それでも、アーロンはロッククライミングが出来、下の写真を見れば一目瞭然ですよね。その後、一緒に夕飯を食べました。こんなかっこいい奴と時間を過ごせられたことは祝福でした。

After the service during the fellowship I took some picture of old faces. I met up with few others but I was only able to take some.
礼拝後の交わりの時間でいくつかの久しぶりの顔の写真を撮りました。何人か他にも会いましたけど、ゆんたくして撮れなかったのが残念。

二日目は雨

Today (day 2) I was greeted by the rain which is caused by the typhoon! What a great day to start off with!! But I'm not going to let the rain stop me from doing what I planned, so I went to my old work place, and went to Marue to buy sovenier for my friends back at Tokyo but there was nothing there, and right now I am getting ready for tonight's Bible study. I think I will end the day by watching a movie!

二日目は台風の影響で雨が私を迎えてくれました。なんとすばらしい事でしょうか！それでも、雨にも負けずと言うことで、前の職場のピザパーティーに行き、マルエーでお土産買おうと思い行ったら何もないし、今から水曜日の礼拝の準備、今日は映画で一日を終えようと思っています。

沖縄ただいま♪( ´▽｀)

Yesterday night, I arrived at Naha airport, and Anna and Yuko picked me up. Right when they picked me up, we head to an English class, where Anna and Yuko is substituting for Joel. After a long day of travel and going to an English class, I was very tired. But I didn't eat dinner yet, so I was thinking of going to King Tacos for dinner with the guys. But when I came back, Tom was the only person there, and the rest of the guys weren't back. Or so I thought. Tom said that he would treat me dinner and we did end up going to King Tacos, but when we entered through that door, we find three handsome guys eating and fellowshipping. Who would have guessed. It was great seeing Aaron, Keagen, and Yoshua again. I also met up with Andrew and Kayo at McDonalds, where Andrew was studying. So big long day, but the real adventure starts from today!!

昨日の夜那覇空港に到着して、アンナとゆう子が迎えに来てくれました。迎えに来てすぐ英会話サークルに行きました。ジョールがいないため、アンナとゆう子が彼の代わりに行っていたので、迎えのついでにと言うことで一緒に行きました。でも、長い旅の後の英会話はやっぱり疲れますな～（笑）夕食もまだだったので、「帰ったら男性でキングタコスに行って夕飯食べよう！」と思い帰ったら、なんとトムしかいないじゃないですか！！でも、トムは夕食をおごってあげると言い、結局キングタコスに行きました！（やった～！）キングタコスの入り口を通ったら、なんとそこにはハンサムな三人がいるじゃないですか！！アーロン、キーガン、とヨシュアがいて、久しぶりにみんなと会えて嬉しかったです。それに加え、アンドリューがマックで勉強していたので、彼にも会いに行きました。そこでアンドリューと香代に会い、再開の日でしたね。なが～い一日でしたけれど、本当のアドベンチャーとはこれからなのです！

Youth Camp 2012

I had the privilege to go to the Youth camp that was hosted by CCWest Tokyo. We went there from Thursday and came back on Saturday afternoon. There was total of about twenty youth that came and attended it, and had a great time there. The theme of the cam was from Ephesians 5:16 "redeeming the time, for the days are evil." Yoshua, Pastor Santou's oldest son, planned the event and had a great time with everyone. Mariko and Megumi was in charge of the games, and had a fun time playing all of the games that they planned, they did a great job. I helped with the worship team by playing the bass. All of the worship that we did was in Japanese, and all of them, with the exception of one, it was my first time hearing it, and playing it. Pastor Rich, from CCFuchu, shared the message and Pastor Santou translated it. It was a huge blessing just to participate in this event, being with the Christians of my age! Thank you God for this opportunity to be able to have fellowship with the youths!

CC西東京がホストしたユースキャンプに参加しました。木曜日から土曜日の2泊3日のキャンプでした。このキャンプに参加した中高生と大学生は合計で大体20名ほどいました。とても、楽しい時間をもてました。キャンプのテーマ聖句はエペソ5：16からで「機会を十分に生かしなさい」でした。このキャンプのすばらしい計画を立ててくれたのは山東牧師の長男の芳也です。そして、まりこと愛はゲーム担当でよいゲームを用意してくれました。グッジョブ！俺は賛美チームの手伝いでベースを弾きました。賛美曲は全部、一つ除けば、初めて聞き、弾いた曲でした。メッセージはCC府中のリッチ牧師がシェアしてくれた、山東牧師が通訳してくれました。本当にこのキャンプに参加できたのは大きな祝福でした。近い年齢のクリスチャン達と交わり共に過ごせたときは一生忘れない思い出になります。神様に感謝！
